New New Council Hosts Ventura County Outreach Event

A new council designed to coordinate the delivery of inter-segmental, pre-college services and resources in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties, recently held its first formal activity in Ventura County.

The Pre-College Coordinating Council, which consists of UCSB's Department of Early Academic Outreach, School University Partnerships, AVID and MESA from UCSB and CSU-Northridge hosted approximately 25 teachers, counselors and principals from Fillmore, Santa Paula and Oxnard area middle schools and high schools. They shared ideas, prioritized strategies and established collaboration in use of pre-college resources and services.
