UC Santa CruzCampus's McHenry Library Collection Moves to New AdditionIn preparation for seismic retrofitting and renovation, UC Santa Cruz moved the contents of its main library, the McHenry Library, during spring break into a recently opened addition. The library expansion and renovation, which cost a total of $99 million, has been 12 years in the planning and will increase the McHenry Library’s space by nearly 72 percent. The addition will add approximately 81,600 square feet to the 114,000-square-foot library. When completed in 2009, the library complex will feature wireless networking, a film and music center, a visual resource center, and a "cyber study" room and café. :: For more information, visit this University Library. |
