Online Work In Progress Web Site Opens in January

The Web-based transfer work in progress form used to collect academic course information for all UC campuses is scheduled to open January 9 for fall 2004 applicants.

All non-freshman applicants must fill out a work-in-progress (WIP) form with their courses and grades for their just-completed, current and planned terms prior to their anticipated enrollment at the University of California. For online applicants, courses will be pre-populated for their convenience.

Applicants should submit their WIP information in January 2004 but no later than February 16 for all UC campuses except Davis and Berkeley. The deadline is January 30 for UC Davis and by mid-February for UC Berkeley. Like last year, Berkeley applicants will need to fill out a separate UCB-specific WIP form.

The online form allows applicants to complete quickly and easily one document for all campuses except Berkeley, eliminating the need for duplicating the information. Most applicants should be able to complete the online WIP form in less than 15 minutes.

Applicants who use the WIP Web site will be able to update any planned or in-progress coursework after their initial submission of the form through the deadline dates established by each campus.

Applicants will need their seven-digit application ID number, which can be found on their Undergraduate Application Acknowledgement or PATHWAYS receipt, in order to start the online WIP form. Those applicants who did not file a PATHWAYS application and have lost their application ID number
may call the Application Processing Center at (800) 523-2048.
