Campus Adds New Environmental Majors

The College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences has announced three new majors: Environmental Science and Management (ESM), Plant Sciences, and Ecological Management and Restoration (EMR).

Students in Environmental Science and Management study the interaction of physical, biological and social aspects of environmental problems.

The Plant Sciences major is designed to give students a scientific understanding of how plants develop in managed ecosystems, and how plant products enhance society.

The Ecological Management and Restoration major reflects a changing world view of humans’ relationship to the planet. Undergraduates in this field will develop expertise in a wide variety of ecological and agricultural areas.

:: For details about the ESM major, contact Kimberly Mahoney. For more information about the Plant Sciences or EMR major, call (530) 752-1715 or e-mail Theresa Costa.
