UCI Offers Mobile Computing Program

    • UCI libraries have started a pilot program so that students can check out laptop computers and cards for mobile computing in various campus locations.

    Through so-called wireless access zones, students can use the computers in UCI libraries, study centers and other designated areas. The laptops are preloaded with wireless networking cards and academic software and give students an opportunity to use new wireless technology in informal, study and collaborative settings.
