The Outreach Advisory Board provides advice and counsel to the University on the array of activities it employs in order to promote enrollment of a diverse student body and improve opportunities for California students in disadvantaged circumstances to achieve eligibility and enroll at UC campuses. The Board's advice assists the University in determining the overall configuration of its outreach efforts and in identifying the means for deploying programs to greatest positive effect.

The Advisory Board also facilitates exchange of information between the University and the state's primary educational, business, and community organizations and constituencies to assist in implementing the recommendations of the University's Outreach Task Force.
