The system-wide technology transfer forums are designed to foster a better understanding of how to work with UC and to showcase emerging areas of research that might present collaboration or investment opportunities to angel investors, venture capitalists, and company representatives. These events provide an excellent opportunity for potential investors and company representatives to stay abreast of what is going on at UC within specific areas of research, and to network with researchers, sponsored research/industry alliances officers, and technology transfer professionals from across the UC System.

Description: This forum showcased the winners of the second UC system-wide Proof-of-Concept Commercialization Gap Grants Program. The UC Proof-of-Concept awards accelerate the commercialization of UC technologies by providing funding to bridge the gap between research and commercialization. Opportunities presented at this invitation-only event ranged from medical devices, pharmaceuticals, consumer products and medical imaging technologies to battery and wireless networking technologies.
