Software On-Line Permission Statement
When University-owned software is distributed on a computer network without a written license agreement, appropriate language must be included to protect copyright rights and limit liabilities which may result from use of the software. An author of a work that belongs to the University may elect to distribute a software program so that it may be freely used for research and non-profit purposes, as long as local campus procedures are followed. Only an authorized campus licensing agent may grant commercial, for profit, use rights to copyrighted works belonging to the University. The following statements should be placed at the beginning of the software so that it is observable on the computer screen and included in any documentation:
