Chair, Director of Community Engagement

“I am an energetic person who is always excited to meet new people and try new things! I joined UCOP in June 2016, quickly signing up for an OPPC volunteer project (installing my 1st drip irrigation system at an Oakland school garden), where I met OPPC’s founders. They loved my enthusiasm and invited me to join their leadership team. I now lead fundraising efforts for all OPPC events and activities. I look forward to meeting colleagues from all corners of the UC and realizing our President’s goals of guiding prospective UC students + serving Oakland!”

“I joined the OPPC leadership committee because I want to help facilitate opportunities that coalesce UCOP staff, thus building meaningful connections and a sense of community with each other outside of our daily silos. My biggest passion is to build community among different constituencies so that every person has a place at which s/he feels a sense of belonging, and my work with OPPC will foster this great passion of mine.”

Project Manager

“I am a quirk-filled individual with a vision for OPPC that aligns with my passion for community service and engagement. I have always lived by the words of my role model, Mahatma Gandhi, “The best way to find yourself, is to lose yourself in the service of others.” My goal for OPPC is to marry the culture at UCOP to my vision of community service and engagement. The goal is to allow UCOP employees to meet, engage, connect, and develop a community and culture at UCOP.”
