This is a Notice of Meeting of the University of California Board of Regents on Wednesday, July 14, and Thursday, July 15, 2004. This regular business meeting of the board will be held at the UC San Francisco-Laurel Heights campus, 3333 California St., in San Francisco.

Wednesday's meeting is scheduled to begin at 8:10 a.m. with public comment, followed by open session. The Regents will consider action to approve the university’s 2004-05 budget, the Academic Senate’s recommendations for changes in undergraduate admissions eligibility criteria, and the appointment of the regents’ general investment consultant. Discussion items include summary of audit activities and the feasibility of a UC staff representative on the board.
Thursday’s meeting is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. with public comment, followed by closed sessions to discuss personnel and legal matters. The board will meet later in open session to consider action to modify the Livermore and Los Alamos national laboratories’ contracts as a result of changes to federal acquisition regulations and to discuss topics related to competition for the new laboratory management contracts.
