This is a Notice of Meeting of the University of California Board of Regents on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003. This meeting will be held at Los Alamos Research Park, room 203, at Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. with public comment, followed by introductory remarks by Robert C. Dynes, who will become UC president Oct. 2, and laboratory overview by Los Alamos Director George P. Nanos. The meeting will include tours of laboratory facilities (Bradbury Science Museum and Manual Lujan Center, Los Alamos Neutron Science Center), presentations and demonstrations.


Members of the media who plan to cover the meeting must register for credentials by calling Kevin Roark of the Los Alamos National Laboratory public affairs office at (505) 665-9202. As part of the regents' visit, tours of select locations at the national laboratory will be conducted. A limited number of seats are available for the unclassified portion of the regents' tour and requests will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. To register for the tours, please contact Rebecca Frisbee in the laboratory's protocol office at (505) 667-5543.
