NOTICE OF MEETING

This is a Notice of Meeting of the University of California Board of Regents on Wednesday, Sept. 17, and Thursday, Sept. 18, 2003. This regular business meeting of the board will be held at the UC San Francisco-Laurel Heights campus, 3333 California St., in San Francisco.

Wednesday' meeting is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. with public comment, followed by open sessions that will include action on: the university' 2003-04 capital operations budget; financing for improvement projects for the UC Berkeley East Asian Library, the UC Davis Winery and Food Science Laboratory and UC Irvine biological sciences building; and selection of the 2004-05 student regent. Part of the Wednesday afternoon agenda will be held in closed session for the purpose of discussing personnel, investment and legal matters.

Thursday's meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. with public comment, followed by open session. Discussion items will include updates on the UC-managed national laboratories and comprehensive review in undergraduate admissions.
