REGENTS' MEETING SET FOR JUNE 11 TO APPOINT NEW UC PRESIDENT
This is Notice of a Special Meeting of the University of
California Board of Regents to consider the appointment of
a president on Wednesday, June 11, beginning in closed session
at 3 p.m. The open session of the meeting is tentatively scheduled
for 4 p.m., followed immediately by a press conference.
The meeting will be held in Oakland, at 1000 Broadway, Suite
109 (enter on 11th St.), directly across from the UC Office
of the President’s Franklin building. There, the regents
will meet with the candidate and advisory committee members.
Two additional teleconference sites for the meeting will be
available in Los Angeles, at the James E. West Alumni Center
on the UCLA campus, and in Sacramento, at the UC Office of
State Governmental Relations, 1130 K St., Suite 340.
The press conference will be held at the Oakland site, with
participation also available via teleconference. Details about
media availability will be provided next week.

Parking is available in the building garage (enter on 11th
Street). The meeting location is adjacent to the 12th St.-City
Center BART station, and an AC Transit stop is in front of
