This is a Notice of Meeting of the University of California Board of Regents on Wednesday, January 15, and Thursday, January 16, 2003. This regular business meeting of the board will be held at the UC San Francisco-Laurel Heights facility, 3333 California St., San Francisco.

Wednesday's meeting is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. with public comment, followed by open sessions that will include a discussion of the governor's budget, a presentation on financing the cost of attending the university, and an update on the Los Alamos National Laboratory. The Wednesday afternoon agenda will be held in closed session for the purpose of discussing personnel and legal matters.

Thursday's meeting is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. with public comment, followed by open sessions that will include a presentation on the university library, an overview of the UC schools of management, a discussion of the university's sexual harassment policy, and an update on progress toward implementing the recommendations of the Commission on the Growth and Support of Graduate Education.
