The University of California (UC) and the UAW and its affiliated Local 2865 last night (Dec. 2) reached a tentative agreement on the terms of a successor collective bargaining agreement.
Details of the agreement are being withheld from the public pending ratification by the UAW.
UAW Local 2865 represents over 11,000 Academic Student Employees (ASEs) working as Teaching Assistants, Readers and Tutors at the eight general teaching campuses of UC.
