NOTICE OF MEETING

This is a Notice of Meeting of the University of California Board of Regents on Wednesday, July 17, and Thursday, July 18, 2002. This regular business meeting of the board will be held at the UC San Francisco-Laurel Heights campus, 3333 California St., in San Francisco.

Wednesday's meeting is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. with public comment, followed by an open session of the board's health services committee at 8:55 a.m. Agenda items for the Wednesday morning open sessions include discussion of the report on the review of the state Master Plan for Higher Education and action on the proposed UC Davis School of Education and Sixth College on the UC San Diego campus. The Wednesday afternoon agenda will be held in closed session for the purpose of discussing personnel, legal and investment matters.

Thursday's meeting is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. with public comment, followed at 8:55 a.m. by an open session of the grounds and buildings committee. The Thursday sessions will include adoption of UC's final budget for 2002-03 and action on the indemnification of campus foundation trustees. There are no afternoon sessions scheduled for Thursday.
