NOTICE OF MEETING
This is a Notice of Meeting of the University of California
Board of Regents on Wednesday, Nov. 14, and Thursday, Nov.
15, 2001. This regular business meeting of the board will
be held at the UC San Francisco-Laurel Heights campus, 3333
California St.
Wednesday's meeting is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. with
public comment, followed by open session of the full board
at 8:15 a.m. Agenda items for the Wednesday open sessions
include a status report of the UC-managed Department of Energy
laboratories; a proposal for comprehensive review in undergraduate
admissions; a report on the joint UC-California State University
doctor of education (Ed.D.) degree; and the UC treasurer'
annual report. Portions of the Wednesday afternoon agenda
will be held in closed session for the purpose of discussing
personnel, legal and investment matters.
Thursday' meeting is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. with public
comment, followed at 8:15 a.m. by a joint session of the regents'committees
on finance and grounds and buildings. The Thursday sessions
will include consideration of the UC 2002-03 budget for current
operations and capital improvements; an update on development
at UCSF Mission Bay; and consideration for January 2002 action
regarding tuition exemptions policy to conform to AB 540.
