NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING

This is a Notice of a Special Meeting of The Regents of the University of California in open session by teleconference on Thursday, August 30, 2001. The Regents will meet to take action for the purpose of adopting the final 2001-02 Budget for Current Operations and the Budget for Capital Improvements. This action would amend the Regents' original 2001-02 budget to conform with the final state budget recently adopted by the governor and Legislature. This action is traditionally taken at the July Regents' meeting but was delayed this year due to the delayed state budget. This special meeting notice is issued to comply with the state's pertinent open meeting laws.

EVENT:
Special meeting of The Regents of the University of California in open session via telephone conference call.

DATE AND TIME:
Thursday, August 30, 9:00 a.m. (public comment, followed by joint meeting of the Committee on Grounds and Buildings and the Committee on Finance, and of the full Board).
