MESA has been named by Bayer Corporation as among 21 exemplary programs from across the country that is proven to help K-12 students, especially minorities and girls, participate and achieve in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
MESA has been included in the Bayer Corporation's publication, Planting the Seeds for a Diverse U.S. STEM Pipeline: A Compendium of Best Practice K-12 STEM Education Programs. The publication was developed as a guide for industry leaders who want to be involved in STEM education.
"The compendium is designed to assist our fellow STEM industry colleagues in establishing their own business-education partnerships," said Dr. Attila Molnar, President and CEO of the Bayer Corporation.
The programs were selected for their outstanding ability to offer challenging curriculum and content; develop an inquiry-based learning environment; define outcomes and provide assessment measures, and sustain commitment from the participants and the community.
