PG&E awards MESA more than $12,000

MESA will receive over $12,000 from Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) as part of two recent philanthropy campaigns. When customers enrolled in PG&E's online billing program during July and August, they were asked to select an organization to which they wished PG&E make a donation on their behalf. Based on the number of votes received, MESA was awarded over $5,000. Working with community leaders in a separate fundraising program, PG&E was able to solicit nearly $6,800 in additional resources for MESA. Both gifts will be used to support the academic preparation of educationally disadvantaged students so they can excel in math and science and graduate with degrees in engineering, science and technology.
