Alternative work schedule programs
Employee Reduction in Time (ERIT)
The ERIT program is available to UCOP employees who wish to voluntarily reduce their percentage of appointment. Participation in ERIT is limited to represented employees and subject to agreement by the applicable union.

Local Human Resources manages the ERIT program. Additional information and forms are available at the HR ERIT web page. Existing contracts that end in June 2014 will need to be reissued or extended by contract amendment with appropriate supervisor and department approvals. The extended program is active July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2017.
Work schedule changes
The objective of the alternate work schedule is to allow employees flexibility in scheduling their work hours based on departmental approval and subject to established terms and conditions. More information is available in HR Personnel Policies - Procedures 31 (pdf).
The Phased Retirement Program is a reduction in time program which went into effect 1/1/12. Additional information is available on UCnet.
