For campus, medical center and laboratory training programs, the additional advantages of implementing user domains at the locations include the ability to:

  • Share classes and training resources within their location and systemwide
  • Create sub-domains for local groups/departments to manage staff training
  • Customize the location user domain to fit the look and feel of their local website
  • Offer authoring tool or capability of supporting existing course authoring tools
  • Define competencies and assign training to individuals by job function
  • Maintain training records for performance management and compliance in their user domain

For Environmental Health and Safety and compliance training, the LMS offers the ability to:

  • Identify regulatory training requirements based on employee jobs, roles, and/or activities
  • Create employee training plans based on training requirements
  • Identify, track and report on all employee training activities (including regulatory training and certifications, departmental training and professional development activities)
  • Determine who needs regulatory training and who has/has not completed it
  • Report training across multiple levels (individual, department, organization)
  • Provide training record access for appropriate levels (employee, supervisor, Chairs, etc.)
