As the LAUC representative to the SOPAG Library Privacy Liaisons (LPL) All Campus Group, I have a very short report at this time. The group has communicated only via email to date, and will have its first meeting on Friday, December 20th, at which time a chair will be appointed. Jayne Dickson, Information Services Analyst, at CDL was asked to convene the first meeting and has additionally set up listserv for the group - PLACG-L@ucop.edu. One activity coming up is the ARL Teleconference, "Safeguarding our Patrons' Privacy: What Every Librarian Needs to Know About the USA Patriot Act & Related Anti-Terrorism Measures", that is scheduled at Berkeley on Wednesday, December 11th, which I expect to attend.
