Campus Life Berkeley is the oldest of the University of California campuses. Currently, over 33,000 students attend Berkeley, of which about 10,000 are graduate students. Located in the city of Berkeley, long known as one of the most culturally adventurous cities, the campus stretches east into a range of hills overlooking San Francisco Bay. An excellent public transportation system links the University with other cities in the Bay Area.
