Item 2 2000 Comments:
Line 1413 Civil Engineering increased in FY2000 due to significant growth in the College of Engineering. The Center for Environmental Research & Techology falls under this college. Some of the larger research awards received in this fiscal year were funded by the EPA and the Sunline Services Group. CE-CERT also performs tests on emissions and their Sale and Service expenditure activity increased significantly.
Line 1442 Computer Science increased in FY2000 due to the large number of extramural awards in this department. In addition, the department received a ICRRP-Core Sector award in FY2000. In addition, gift funds received in prior years were expended this fiscal year--the use of this type of funding is at the department's discretion.
Line 1453 Medical Sciences increased due to the transfer of staff and resources from Entomology to Neurosciences.
Line 1472 Political Science increased due to new projects in the Center for Social & Behaviorial Sciences, as well as the Presley Center for Crime & Justice. |
