Portal and Content Management System Evaluation
This group was created to continue the work started with 2002's RFP for portal and content management software,
particularly to evaluate the use of open source and low-initial-cost solutions. In particular, the following issues will
be examined: 1) An assessment of the minimal acceptability of these products for the University, 2) An evaluation
of the "quality" of these products, particularly in comparison with the commercial products from the RFP, and 3) An
estimate of the four-year cost of using these products.
