Technical assistance will be available. Generally speaking, copy and fax service is not available on site. Please make all copies in advance. Rates are: $79 (single queen) $84 (single king) $84 (double queen) Airport Shuttle Service from Sacramento Airport to Davis Davis Airporter may be reserved for your travel to and from the airport. Driving Directions Sacramento Airport to Aggie Inn Approximate distance: 21 miles Take Interstate 5 South toward Sacramento At the outskirts of Sacramento, take Interstate 80 West to San Francisco Drive approximately 15 miles to Davis Take the Richards Blvd Downtown Exit (not the Richards Blvd/South Davis Exit) Turn right onto Richards Blvd and go straight through the lighted intersection Pass under the RR over crossing and at the next light (First St), turn left Go three blocks (D, C, B Streets) and the Aggie Inn is at the corner of First and B Streets Bay Area to Aggie Inn Take I-80 East to Davis Take the Richards Blvd Downtown Exit (not the Richards Blvd/South Davis Exit) Turn right onto Richards Blvd and go straight through the lighted intersection Pass under the RR over crossing and at the next light (First St), turn left Go three blocks (D, C, B Streets) and the Aggie Inn is at the corner of First and B Streets Shuttle Service between the Hotel and Meeting Site We will have shuttle service available to transport folks to and from the meeting site. On May 21: Please meet in the hotel lobby at 9:15 a.m. Shuttle service from Aggie Inn to the Alumni Center will be at 9:20 a.m. After the meeting, return shuttle service to the hotel will be at 5:10 p.m. Shuttle service to dinner will be at 6:05 p.m. On May 22: Please meet in the hotel lobby at 7:30 a.m. Shuttle service from Aggie Inn to the Alumni Center will be at 7:35 a.m. After the meeting, return shuttle service to the hotel will be at 4:10 p.m. Walking Directions from the Hotel to the Meeting Site The Alumni Center is about a 12-minute walk from the Aggie Inn. For those wishing exercise: Walk one block West to A Street Turn left on A Street and walk a little more than a block and cross over Putah Creek Turn right on Old Davis Road and walk about 10 minutes to the corner of Mrak Hall Drive and Old Davis Rd. The Alumni Center is on the South East corner of the intersection. A campus map is available at: http://www.cevs.ucdavis.edu/vs_pages/vtour/maps/map_overview.htm Parking Campus parking is very limited and construction of the new Performing Arts Center has greatly restricted the use of parking close to the Alumni Center. There is a parking lot (VP1) close to the meeting location, although it will be necessary to walk around the construction in order to get to the building. If anyone needs a conference parking pass ahead of time, contact Allison Mitchell, armitchell@ucdavis.edu, who will send you one. Otherwise, you may purchase a permit for $4.00/day from the machines in the parking lot. Dinner (Evening of May 21) We have planned an evening dinner cruise aboard the Matthew McKinley, a paddle wheeler that plies the Sacramento River. The two-hour excursion includes dinner and no-host beverages. The cost is $31.50 per person and includes tax and tip. For billing purposes, please provide a recharge account number from your campus to cover your portion ($31.50) of this group event. Please bring cash to purchase evening beverages. Transportation to and from the dinner will be provided.
