Status of Policy Resolution

The COVCA has chartered a group to discuss the business issues related to our increasingly cooperative, interdependent IT services, in particular federated authentication and UCTrust.  We hope to have that group meet sometime in January, 2005.  An important part of this discussion will be the risk analysis that was distributed with the agenda for this meeting.  Everyone, please think carefully to make sure we haven't left anything out.

Metadata Distribution

We discussed the three options I proposed a couple of weeks ago for sharing metadata about UCTrust-only targets.  Since the next version of Shibboleth is expected to have good support for multiple federations, I will investigate that path further.  One sticking point could be a requirement for a separate WAYF service (with potential end-user confusion).
