The Challenge
Most screen readers and talking browsers scan a Web page for all the links and then create a list of those links for their users. The users then navigate through the list as a way of quickly determining what is on the Web page. Links such as "go" or "click here" are usually meaningless when separated from their context in this way.
Solutions
Use descriptive text rather than phrases such as
For example, instead of writing "Use this link to view our academic programs," use descriptive text such as "Explore our academic programs."
