Maximize the contrast on your pages among graphics, fonts, and backgrounds.
It is usually fairly easy to tell when color combinations do not contrast adequately. Change colors until you have achieved good contrast.
Allow users to change the site's contrast to suit their needs by using plain text, rather than images, for text.
