The work of IR&C touches many aspects of university operations.
Prospective students may use Pathways to apply online for undergraduate admissions. Faculty and staff members may access At Your Service to view or make changes to their benefits and retirement plans, or UC for Yourself to update personal information. IR&C developed these Web applications jointly with other departments.
Many UC administrative functions incorporate computer systems that IR&C develops, operates, and upgrades. Examples are the payroll system, used to pay employees and manage their benefits, or the endowment investment system, used to coordinate university assets.
In addition, working with the campuses, IR&C seeks to identify and implement new technologies that will streamline business processes across the university.
