The University of California's Enterprise Directory project has been created to coordinate the establishment of enterprise directories at each of the UC campuses and UCOP, as well as establish standards for exchange of information to enable the creation of a systemwide directory. While the reasons for creating enterprise directories are many, this work is an outgrowth of the work done by the New Business Architecture Technology Planning Group, as described in the NBA Technology Planning Group Report, July 2001.
