The Corporate Student Data Warehouse contains a number of tables & views. Although only views - and their equivalent Webfocus reporting objects - can be queried, it is useful to know how views are related to the underlying tables.
Note that the Warehouse Table Element Lists in the Data Dictionary describe tables, not views. To get the complete element list for a view, you will need to get the element list for each of the tables in the view.

Definitions
Tables are physical data stores consisting of rows and columns.
Views are user-friendly representations of the tables. Views often include
joins between parent (ex: ULONG Student) and child (ex: ULONG Year) tables to make it possible
for users to extract columns from both the parent and child tables without having to create the
join themselves. In a parent-child join, there will be a row for each child of a parent, with the
parent columns repeated in each row.
Webfocus reporting objects are views created specifically for WebFocus MRE users.
