NEW CPS DATA ELEMENTS
Effective June cycle 2004
A number of new fields, both defined and actual, have been added to the personnel data warehouse for June cycle 2004. These data elements have been added to the FY and Snapshot tables. Some of these fields were added to CPS in the past few months and are now being extracted for the data warehouse; others are defined fields which are new to both CPS and the data warehouse.

The total retirement covered comp for the months July through June of the current fiscal year. Payment_Category PAYCAT_DESC (defined) Translation of Payment Category Code Payment_Category_Code PAYCAT Code indicating payment category associated with earnings, such as regular, leave, additional pay, etc. Type_Hours TYPEHOURS Code indicating type of hours such as regular, overtime, non-worked, etc. Type_of Hours TYPEHRS (defined) Translation of Type Hours code Tot_FY_Gross Earnings TOTFYGRS (defined) The total gross earnings for months July through June of the current fiscal year. Tot_FY_Hours Worked TOTFYHRS (defined) The total number of hours paid for months July through June of the current fiscal year. Tot_FY_Time_Distrib TOTFYFTE (defined) The total monthly FTE for months July through June of the current fiscal year. Only meaningful if divided by the number of months worked during the year, since it will equal 12.00 for any employee who worked full-time throughout the entire fiscal year.
