The basis schedule for transmittals is established in the schedule for the Budget and Staffing year end/new year start up process. This schedule is published each spring for transmittals due in June and July. Additional transmittal schedules may be issued during the year, depending on range adjustment requirements.
At one time, three transmittals were required:
In recent years, only the Final Staffing file has been required.

Local data required by the SLC is to be produced in the form of a fixed-length file to be FTP'd to the Office of the President's FTP server.
It can be done most easily by the RSL through the Corporate Staffing System (SLC) interface supplied with the RSL. This interface consists of one jobstream (SLJOB6) which produces a single file.
The file to interface to the SLC, known as the SLC Interface File, is a straight
copy of the RSLS Staffing List Master File.
2.3 Method of Submitting Data to UCOP
The file is to be submitted according to the specifications outlined in Section 4.1.
Files will be transmitted electronically to UCOP on an annual basis via FTP. Instructions for transmitting the file via FTP are included here.
Each transmission will be accompanied by an Email note with the information specified below. The file transmittal should be sent to the IS&C Librarian at: isclib@ucop.edu
File transmittal note should give the following minimum information:
Files are due at UCOP by the dates specified in the schedule sent out by
the UCOP Budget Office each year.
