Overview

The Corporate Equipment and Facilites systems (EFA) contains a complete inventory of buildings, rooms and equipment for the University of California. The data resides in several databases at the Office of the President (OP), and comes from several different systems at the campuses.

  • The Building and Room files (EFA70 and EFA71) are submitted annually by campuses on the 10th working day of December, reflecting the data as of the end of the third week of the fall term.
  • The Equipment Inventory file (EFA100) is submitted annually by campuses and due at UCOP by the 13th working day of February, reflecting the data as of December 31. Any errors will require campus file resubmission.
  • The Equipment--Facilities Conversion file (EFA200) is also submitted annually by campuses and due at UCOP by the13th working day of February, in conjunction with the equipment inventory. This file creates a link between equipment departments and facilities programs.
  • In addition, the Plant Asset file (CFSAST) is submitted annually by campuses to the Corporate Financial System (CFS) and due at UCOP by the13th working day of February, reflecting the data as of December 31.
