Creating the Annual Academic File using a Test Microsoft Access Database

Start with this test Microsoft Access database.  Open testacad.mdb by double-clicking on the file name (testacad).  Save it to your own PC.

When you open this file, it should open a datasheet which has the data elements for this file already defined.  Type your data into the fields that have been set up. 
Delete the test data as you enter your data. 

When you have finished entering your data, save the file on your PC. 

Then Export (under File menu) the table as a text (*.txt) file. 

Choose Fixed Width.  The data displayed should look similar to that in the window displayed below.  Click the Finish button.
