The UCRS Maintenance unit maintains and enhances the University of California Retirement System (UCRS), coordinating changes with key related systems, the Payroll/Personnel System and At Your Service Online. The UCRS tracks over 118,200 active employees for retirement purposes, as well as 28,968 inactive, vested members of the UC Retirement Plan. It handles monthly retirement payments for nearly 49,000 retirees, and provides medical/dental/legal coverage to 40,300 retirees, survivors, and beneficiaries.
The unit also maintains and enhances the Enterprise Data Warehouse, which aggregates and enables analysis of payroll and personnel data across the University system; as well as the UCRS Data Warehouse, which tracks current and future retirees for trend analysis purposes.
