Upcoming Integration of Conference Room Scheduling in Outlook

Date: November 3, 2011

To: UCOP Community
From: Karla Campbell, Director, Building and Administrative Services Center, and
Shirley Bittlingmeier, Director, Infrastructure Technology Services

We are pleased to give you advance notice of the upcoming integration of conference room scheduling with the Outlook calendar. People have been asking for some time for “one stop shopping” for meeting and room scheduling. The Building and Administrative Services Center (BASC) and Information Technology Services (ITS) are working to make this happen.

The Outlook conference room scheduling functionality will be available starting December 1 for meetings occurring December 22 and after.

Our goal is to provide you plenty of support to make the transition: We have been meeting with UCOP administrative assistants and other groups to provide demos and get feedback. Detailed information will be distributed to everyone on November 14, including instructions and a video on how to schedule rooms in Outlook and how to transfer existing iSchedule reservations to Outlook.

Save the date for one of these brown bag training sessions so you can learn how to reserve conference rooms in Outlook:

And stay tuned for full details on November 14.
