Service Description
ITS provides basic server support services for all UCOP servers. Servers are housed in the UCOP Data Center, a 24 x 7 secure, environmentally controlled facility that meets industry standards and complies with University policy for physical security. All UCOP servers are required to be located in the UCOP Data Center.

Server Support: ITS provides support for all UCOP servers. These servers support both departmental and systemwide applications, as well as a variety of UCOP “utility” services, including fileshares and email. The following services are available for servers that ITS maintains:

  • installation, operation, and maintenance, including patches and updates
  • data backup
  • disaster recovery preparedness and testing
  • remote access
  • monitoring and alerts
  • hardware salvage

How to Order or Request Support
Available support packages: M - F, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; or 7x24. Use the IT Staff Only section of the IT Service Hub or by contacting the IT Service Desk.
