Dear HR&B Colleagues:
The HR&B Restructuring process has gained momentum in the past few weeks, and you will soon find a calendar item in your inbox announcing the next All Hands meeting scheduled for June 16. As I've mentioned before, I'm committed to presenting you with new information as we receive it. At this meeting, I will be presenting the new units and functions for the revised HR&B organization, and I want to give you some idea of what to expect from our meeting.
I want to present the information to you at this point in time in part because information on the OP consolidated units that was presented last week will affect HR&B, and I want you to have as much information as possible so that you can make good, well-informed decisions about your own future at UCOP.
At the All Hands, I will provide you with details about the overall structure as well as a general timeline of when you can expect job descriptions and postings, since these vital pieces of the puzzle will not be ready in time for the meeting. I understand that we are all eager to have some resolution on these issues, but I believe it is important to present you with new information as it's available. I know that general information about the new organization may raise more questions about the ultimate detailed structure of HR&B. I also know that I will not yet have all the answers, but I will continue to update you as soon as I am able.
