Thomas C. Schroeder

Counsel

Thomas C. Schroeder joined the Office of the General Counsel as Counsel, Non-Profit Organizations and Charitable Giving, in 2013.  Before joining the office, Mr. Schroeder was Associate General Counsel at The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and an attorney in the Tax-Exempt Organizations Practice Group at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP. 

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Schroeder held positions in the department of European Paintings at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.  Mr. Schroeder is a graduate of Bowdoin College (B.A., summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa), The Courtauld Institute of Art, University of London (M.A.) and the University of Washington School of Law (J.D., with honors, Order of the Coif), where he was Executive Articles Editor of the Washington Law Review.
