GENERAL RECRUITER INFORMATION

The 2013 Northern California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education will take place on the campus of the Saint Mary's College on Saturday, October 26. Campus Address: 1928 Saint Mary's Road, Moraga, CA 94556
The recruiter fair, held in conjunction with the Forum, will take place from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. Recruiters will register at the recruiter registration area starting at 9:00 a.m. A green room for recruiters and speakers will also be available starting at 9:00 a.m.
Workshops for students will be held throughout the day in classrooms surrounding the recruiter fair area. Students will be visiting the recruiter fair continuously from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. The day’s scheduled events include:

Hotel Accommodations: A block of rooms for the Forum has been reserved at the Marriott Walnut Creek, located at 2355 North Main Street, Walnut Creek, CA 94596. A recruiter rate of $105.00 per night plus tax is available.
Reservations via phone: To obtain the negotiated rate, please call the hotel reservation line at (800) 828-5613 and specify that you are with the Forum with the special rate code “CSCA”. This special rate is available until October 1, 2013.

On Friday, October 25, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., the Forum will host a dinner reception for all registered recruiters and for the Sally Casanova California Pre-Doctoral Scholar at the Marriott Walnut Creek. Come visit with old friends, meet new colleagues, and be introduced to Sally Casanova California Pre-Doctoral Scholars. If you intend to attend the Pre-Doctoral Scholars’ Reception and Dinner the night before the Forum, please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org by October 18, 2013.
SHIPMENT AND HANDLING OF MATERIALS
If you ship materials in advance of the Forum, please arrange for your materials to arrive at the Saint Mary’s College campus between Monday, October 21 and Wednesday, October 23, 2013. Pre-printed address labels will be emailed to recruiters two weeks before the Forum. Please use these address labels for your boxes and fill in the recruiter name and telephone number on the label.
If you want your materials to be shipped back to your institution after the Forum, please attach a self-addressed, pre-paid FedEx or UPS shipping label on your boxes. Materials are scheduled to be picked up on the Monday morning after the Forum.
If you are flying, we recommend the use of the Oakland International airport (OAK). The Forum does not provide free transportation from the airports to the hotel or to the campus, but you can get to the Forum either by driving or using a commercial shuttle service.
To the Forum from the Marriott Walnut Creek:
- Head southeast toward Parkside Drive
- Turn right onto Parkside Drive
- Take the 3rd left onto Hillside Avenue
- Turn left to merge onto CA-24 W
- Take the Pleasant Hill Road Exit toward Mt. Diablo Blvd.
- Keep left at the fork, follow signs for Mt. Diablo Blvd/Pleasant Hill Road S and merge onto Pleasant Hill Road
- Turn right onto Reliez Station Road
- Continue onto Glenside Drive
- Turn left onto Saint Mary’s Road
- 1928 Saint Mary’s Road, Moraga, CA 94556
