Hotel Accommodations for the Northern Forum on October 28, 2011
The hotel for the Forum is the Holiday Inn Golden Gateway in San Francisco, at 1500 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94109. Located in the heart of downtown between the neighborhoods of Nob Hill and Pacific Heights, the historic California Street cable car line is just steps away. The hotel is 2.5 miles from the University of San Francisco campus. Both the hotel and the campus are approximately 15 miles from the closest major airport, San Francisco International. The Forum regrets that it is NOT able to provide shuttle service to and from San Francisco International; however, there is a Super Shuttle available at a reasonable cost to transport passengers from the airport to their destinations. There WILL be a free shuttle bus running from the Holiday Inn Golden Gateway to the University of San Francisco campus on the day of the Forum. The shuttle bus will make 2 scheduled runs from the hotel to the campus in the morning at 9:15 am and 10:00 am and 2 trips from the campus back to the hotel in the afternoon at 3:15 pm and 4:00 pm. A block of rooms has been reserved for Forum recruiters for $159 plus tax on the nights of October 28 through October 29. Cal Predoc Reception
On Friday night, October 28, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., the Forum will host a reception for all registered recruiters and for the Sally Casanova California Pre-Doctoral Scholars in attendance. The reception will be held in the Emerald Room at the Holiday Inn Golden Gateway.

- Take I-80 West toward San Francisco (Toll Bridge: Currently $4)
- Exit onto Central Freeway / US-101 North toward Golden Gate Bridge
- Exit 434A and merge onto Mission St. / US-101 North toward Golden Gate Bridge
- Turn slight left at S. Van Ness Avenue, 1 mile to hotel
From the North (Sausalito)
- Take US-101 South toward San Francisco (Golden Gate Bridge Toll: $6 as of 9/1/08)
- Slight left at Lombard Street / US-101
- Turn right at Van Ness Avenue, 1 mile to hotel
From South (San Francisco International Airport)
- Take US-101 North
- Exit 434A and merge onto Mission St. / US-101 North toward Golden Gate Bridge

From Hotel to Campus:
- Go West on Pine Street toward Van Ness Avenue/US-101 S

- Turn right onto Turk Street
- Enter the Koret Parking Lot
Parking:
There will be directional signs leading to the Koret Parking Lot at the corner of Parker Avenue and Turk Boulevard. Entrances are located at both Parker and Turk. Parking is free in for the day. You may also use the Hayes Healy/Memorial Gym parking lot that has been reserved for student drivers. Entrances to the Hayes Healy/Memorial Gym parking lot are located at Golden Gate Avenue between Roselyn and Tamalpais Terraces.
