Housing Policy

University of California Housing System (UCHS) Administrative Policy (pdf) – describes the formal, systemwide network and operations of campus student and faculty rental housing facilities
  • Housing Calendar (pdf) – illustrates annual data collection from UC campuses and publications by the Office of the President
  • Housing Fees - report published annually to the Regents containing information on campus housing fees as approved by the chancellor or designee.
    • Delegation of Authority (DA216) – Authorizes UC President to collect an annual summary of rents from campus Chancellors, with income sufficient to meet campus obligations. Establishes 'assessment of minimum net revenue' targets published by the President.

    • Master Plan for Higher Education – The original Master Plan was approved in principle by The Regents and the State Board of Education (which at that time governed the California State University and California Community Colleges) and submitted to the Legislature. Although not approved by the Legislature in its entirety (approved policy is Donahue Act) it forms the basic concepts for organization and operation of institutions of higher education in California.
