Welcome to the Office of the Chief Financial Officer
The Office of the Chief Financial Officer is responsible systemwide management of overseeing all aspects of financial management at the 10 campuses, five academic medical centers and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Responsibilities include oversight on accounting and financial controls, risk management, strategic sourcing, tax compliance, payroll coordination and long range financial planning. In addition, the Office is responsible for external relationships with rating agencies, investment houses, banks, financial auditors and financial regulators. The Office administers cross-campus efforts on financial matters and works closely with the Division of Business Operations on budgeting and policy decisions.
