UC Internship Opportunities

Every quarter in coordination with UC's Academic Center in Washington, DC, UC FGR provides a paid internship for students from UC campuses. An internship in the FGR office offers UC students an opportunity to become directly involved with the federal government and the higher education community in Washington, DC. Working with FGR staff, students will see firsthand how Congress operates and how the University of California interacts with the executive and legislative branches of the U.S. government.

FGR interns participate in a variety of congressional and federal activities, such as attending congressional hearings and briefings, assisting with congressional visits from UC faculty and staff, researching federal issues of concern to UC, and learning how to advocate effectively for the University.

For more information about an internship with UC's Office of Federal Governmental Relations, please call (202) 974-6300.
