Charles Melton
Legislative and Communications Coordinator
Prior to joining the university’s Federal Governmental Relations Office in August 2011, Charles worked on Capitol Hill for three years. A native of California, Charles served as a legislative assistant for Congressman George Radanovich and Congressman Jeff Denham. As a legislative staff member, Charles focused on a variety of issues including education, veterans, armed services, budget, labor, health and technology. He previously served as a staff assistant for Congressman George Radanovich.
Charles received his B.A. in Political Science and a minor in History from the University of California, Davis. While attending UC Davis, Charles served as a campus ambassador for three years and the campus mascot during his senior year.
