RD2.9 SUPPLEMENTARY INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS (FOR QUALIFICATION)

When bidder qualification is used to determine responsibility, add the following article to the Supplementary Instructions To Bidders. The method of bidder qualification set forth in the Advertisement For Bids (for Qualification) determines which opening paragraph to use.
8. BIDDER QUALIFICATIONS: Bidders must have the minimum experience {OR OTHER QUALIFICATIONS} described below. To allow University to evaluate Bidders, each Bidder must submit qualification documents consisting of an experience record, and other required documents, in a sealed envelope at the place and time stipulated in the Advertisement For Bids. The envelope shall be clearly labeled, "Qualification Documents." The experience record must be described in the Contractor's Statement of Experience form, which will be provided by at the time of issuance of the Bidding Documents. To be allowed to submit a bid, the Bidder must demonstrate all of the following in the Contractor's Statement of Experience:

To allow University to evaluate Bidders, each Bidder must submit qualification documents consisting of an experience record, and other required documents, with its Bid. The documents shall be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly labeled, "Qualification Documents." The bid shall be submitted in a separate sealed envelope clearly identified as required by Subparagraph 5.3.2 of the Instructions To Bidders. This record must be described in the Contractor's Statement of Experience form, which will be provided by University at the time of issuance of the Bidding Documents. For its bid to be opened, the Bidder must demonstrate all of the following in the Contractor's Statement of Experience:

The following closing paragraphs in BIDDER QUALIFICATIONS comprise an example of text to use for each qualification method; actual text will vary depending on the data requested:
(1) The prospective Bidder successfully completed at least one Project since {DATE} which was at least as complex as this subject Project, having included the construction of a clean room or laboratory facilities similar to the proposed alteration Work and in the aggregate amount of at least $500,000 (less movable equipment); and (2) that the alteration Project was performed in an area of an occupied building where minimal disturbance was required while the use of the existing facility continued to be in operation.
If the Bidder is a joint venture, the managing person or firm of the joint venture shall have the required experience.
