RD2.8 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS (FOR QUALIFICATION)

When bidder qualification is used to determine responsibility, the Advertisement For Bids must be modified to stipulate qualification requirements. The modifications to be made will depend on the method of qualification used Method A, B, or C. Suggested text for each method is shown below. Add the suggested text following the "DESCRIPTION OF WORK," in the Advertisement For Bids.

BIDDER QUALIFICATIONS: To be allowed to submit a bid, Bidders must have the minimum experience {OR OTHER QUALIFICATIONS} set forth in the Supplementary Instructions To Bidders.

Bidders must submit qualification documents in a sealed envelope at {TIME}, {DATE}, at:

{OFFICE}

UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, {FACILITY NAME}

{ADDRESS, ROOM NUMBER}

{CITY}, {STATE} {ZIP CODE}

{TELEPHONE NUMBER}

Method B

BIDDER QUALIFICATIONS: For their bid to be opened, bidders must have the minimum experience {OR OTHER QUALIFICATIONS} set forth in the Supplementary Instructions To Bidders.

Bidders must submit qualification documents with the bid and in a separate sealed envelope.

Method C

BIDDER QUALIFICATIONS: To be eligible for consideration of award, bidders must have the minimum experience {OR OTHER QUALIFICATIONS} set forth in the Supplementary Instructions To Bidders.

Bidders must submit qualification documents as an attachment to the Bid Form.
